"My name is Deborah and I have been employed by Lisa for five months.  My previous work experience prepared me for helping people and when Lisa told me about her need for help, I was elated.  I help in many areas but the concierge side of the job appeals to me the most.  After spending time with a client who needs assistance running errands, light housekeeping or just even someone to check in on for family members who are not close by, I get such a lift in my spirit! Seeing the appreciation on the faces of our clients, and they are really more than that - they are like family, I am amazed and gratified beyond words.  I'm so glad to be a part of this company and if you choose to use the services of A Good Orderly Direction, you and your loved ones will feel like family too. I know I do."

"I was faced with the daunting task of moving my two parents who are 89 and 90 years of age respectively from a 4 bedroom 2 bath home to a 1 bedroom apartment in an adult community. To my rescue came Lisa Powers and her company A Good Orderly Direction.  Lisa and her team provided all of the planning and resources that allowed us to relocate my parents without a hitch.  Lisa consulted, packed, disposed of unwanted items, moved my parents, set up their furniture, plugged in appliances, managed the estate sale and made the old home clean and spotless for the new owners.  The most important service Lisa provides is the ability to work effectively with seniors.  She knows how to interact with them and communicate clearly.  I am not sure what I would have done without Lisa and her team."

When asked the question about how Patricia's mom and dad were doing in their new home at Willow Wood, here's what she had to say...

"My parents are well and have really adjusted to Willow Wood. My mom loves it the most; my dad is easy going so he could live anywhere.  I thought since my mom was so independent, I was afraid that she would have a difficult time adjusting.  She LOVES Willow Wood. She takes part in all the activities so she keeps active. I'm happy for them and feel that they are in a great place. I would highly recommend that facility to anyone."

Then when asked if I could post her comment, here's what she had to say...

"You can certainly post my letter, I want the world to know how good your services are. Keep up the good work and I will give your regards to my parents."

"I am happy to recommend Lisa Powers and her company, A Good Orderly Direction.  I found them to be honest, trustworthy, reliable and patient.

My mom and dad (Elaine & Arthur) lived in a one-bedroom condo for over 20 years so a lot of stuff had accumulated in that time.  When everything was packed, Lisa used over 50 boxes.  My mom has a hard time parting with her things but Lisa helped her understand that not everything would fit so she lightened the load a bit.

There was a chandelier that my mom just loved but she wasn't sure if it would fit in the small dining room of her new place but Lisa measured it and the space telling mom that it would fit and she should take it since she loved it so much.  Lisa purchased a chandelier to fill the space of the old one occupied, hired an electrician to remove the old one and install the new one.  When the light was turned on with the chandelier in its new home, Lisa said my mom was thrilled.

Both Lisa and her staff showed great patience and understanding that I don't feel a typical moving company could have done.  I don't think moving companies go to Home Depot to purchase chandeliers or shelving units.

Lisa told me that on more than one occasion my mom said, "I don't know how I could have done this without you!"  After I looked at the "After" photos of their new home, I realized that my parents had been in good hands all the way and their new place looked fantastic, like they lived there for 20 years."

"My dad was living alone through his 93rd birthday and it was time for him to be around others.  Living in California, I had no idea how I could facilitate this Ft. Lauderdale move without causing great disruption for my dad.  Then I found Lisa and this whole experience took on a whole new meaning!  Lisa made the move absolutely seamless!  My dad and I found a new friend and my dad loves his new home!"

"Lisa is wonderful and I would not hesitate to place a loving parent in her capable and caring hands.  Thank you Lisa… for everything!"

"I had an entire closet for only towels and it’s a big closet.  I don’t know how I gathered all those towels but I couldn’t throw them away and I’d find a good use for them one day.  So Lisa suggested that I donate most of them to the local animal shelter.  I had no idea of what a good use those towels would make.  I feel good about having the space and reducing the clutter but the kittens were the real winners."

"A Good Orderly Direction did more for me than just a closet, they de-cluttered my entire house.  I feel a great sense of calm."

"My mother just loved working with Lisa.  She made a very difficult situation very seamless and painless.  On the days that I would visit, I found my mom and Lisa laughing and laughing.  My mom is quite the story teller and she apparently told Lisa one of her famous tales.  I was so relieved that my mom was in good hands.

Thanks, Lisa!"
